Beautiful Nature Things in China

Last week I visited Chengdu in Mainland China on a vacation with family. Specifically, we were visiting the national parks "Huang Long" and "Jiu Zhai Gow" as well as the city.

Thee five day trip took place between 19 - 24 October. The highlights of this trip, except from the actual national parks themselves, was the newly built and very recently opened high speed train that took us straight to the national park area from the city centre, and cutting down travel time by so so many hours.

First we visited Huang Long national park, the highest we will be on this trip at 4000 m elevation above sealevel.

The pictured above is supposed to be a "Five colour pool", but honestly I can see like three colours max. So, yeah.

Anyhoo, the next day we packed up from Huang Long and made our way down (actually) to Jiu Zhai Gow national park. The name "Jiu Zhai" means nine villages, as this area used to contain nine some settlements. They have since been evacuated, however three have allowed to remain. (By the way, evacuation due to earthquake and other disasters over the years, etc. Not for tourism, but then we got that as a byproduct anyway).

We visited Jiu Zhai Gow two days, to see "left side" and right side" There are so many pictures. Please click the button above and visit Photos page.

Then afterwards, It was time for the Pandas. Of course, you visit Chengdu Home of the Pandas, you must come see Pandas, at their "Conservation Centre" which is basically a glorified zoo with a better sounding name

And this basically concluded our trip. It was very fun, maybe one of the more fun and certainly interesting trips I've been on for a long time (though I hadn't been on a trip for a long time as well, so maybe it's the travelling WOW factor and excitement and perhaps nostalgia).

There will be more travelling to come! (hopefully)
