Intro Section

Jiuzhigou has two roads that you take into the natioanl park. They do not cross, and they lead to different lakes and attractions. Two wings, like a building has. So we have the "left side" and the "right side" that you can take. We went here for two days and did one wing per day, so to get to see most of what's to show here.

You can see from above image map (which I stole from the internet) what I mean by left and right sides.

For Our trip: First day, we did the little straight part before the intersection, then we went up the right side of the park. On the second day, we went straight to the left side.

Below, I have added some photographs from the different attactions that we stopped at. I have tried to organise it as best I can, and add some descriptions as I (not see fit, but) can remember and can accurately/best describe or explain.

Entrance to the Park

Here it is the entry point.. where you walk thorugh to get in the park

That big dome is where people queue to buy tickets.. we went super early but the line was already down the stairs!

This is the inside of the area from pic 1. We waited here to get in, luckily our tour guide bought tickets online so we didn't have to queue up in the dome!

Also, we were on the bus tour and not the walking tour, so we did not go up and queue in the dome area. That's for get in and start walking. The underneath area where we departed from was the bus depot for hired buses.

Basically, there are two types of buses around park. We did the priavte hire bus and so we can tell the driver where to go , etc. This is the more expensive option. There's also buses that do rounds around the park stopping at different attraction areas. Those are free (well, included in the walking price ticket) and are get on- get off type buses.

Nuoruliang Waterfall

Our fisrt stop was the Nuoriliang Waterfall. This waterfall originally wasn't this grande, but after the Chengdu earthequake, got taller and became a multi-storey waterfall, which is what we see now.

Mirror Lake

Pretty self explanatory why it's called Mirror lake. no portraits because the sun was washing out the background. sad :(
Normal picture taken on Samsung, pano taken on Iphone.

Panda Lake

This is called Panda Lake because historically Pandas came here to feed and drink water from. Honestly I'm not sure if it actually is like that or if that is folk tale. All we see are deers and stuff up here, big animals... haven't seen any of the big fluffy panda here yet.

Left: me, Centre: the Panda lake, Right: family Portrait

Peacock Lake / Five Flowers Lake

Because the tree trunks that have fallen in make it look like the peacock feathers... apparently.

Pearl Shoals

Long Lake

It's a lake... and it's REALLY long !

Here's the REALLY long queue that goes to the long lake!

Five Colours Lake

Supposedly this lake has 5 colours!! See for yourself because I couldn't... but my aunt said she could! Now I don't know who to believe BAHAHAH!

But seriously... I Swear I could only see like three max.

Shuzheng Waterfall and Lake

Me.. at the base of the waterfall, and also the lake.

These boardwalks then lead you to the Su zheng historical village.
